Program Control Area

Cycle Start

The Cycle Start button is used to start a robot program. While running a program the LED in the upper right hand corner of the button is illuminated. Note: the LED will flash during feedhold and optional pauses.

Single Block

When active (LED on), Single Block modifies the behavior of Cycle Start to execute one line (or command) of the robot program. Upon completion of that line, program execution is paused and the Cycle Start LED will flash prompting the user to execute the next (single) line. This feature may be turned on or off before running a program or during program execution. Note: Non-motion (comment lines and non-motion commands) lines are ignored by single block mode.

Feedhold

When active (LED - on), machine motion is paused and the Cycle Start LED will flash. To turn feedhold off, click Cycle Start. The Feedhold button works during program execution or during manual data input (MDI) moves. Feedhold has no effect when the machine is not moving.

Optional Pause

When active (LED - on), program execution will stop at an Optional Pause in the robot program. The machine stops at the Optional Pause line and the Cycle Start LED flashes. Cycle Start will resume program execution.

Stop

Stops all machine motion. If clicked while running a program or during an MDI move, the machine stops. Pressing Stop will not change the current state of the machine's digital outputs.

Reset

Reset brings the machine out of an E-stop condition, resets the robot program, and clears alarm messages on the Status page. The Reset text flashes when the machine is first powered on, after an emergency stop, or when the safety input is triggered. The machine must be brought out of reset to enable robot motion (either jogging or program execution).

Feed rate slider and 100% button

The feed rate override slider will change the programmed velocity of linear moves by a specified percentage. The 100% button will restore the feed rate to 100% of the commanded velocity.

Max velocity slider and 100% button

The max velocity override slider will change the velocity of all robot motion (including jogging) by a specified percentage. The 100% button will restore the velocity setting to the maximum velocity allowed by jogging or by the robot program.
