Background

Motorized rotary tables with fourth axis can last longer if they are periodically maintained with a backlash adjustment. Matt runs through all the main components of the Tormach 4th axis rotary table, such as the worm gear, eccentric and faceplate. He then explains how they can lose backlash. Finally, he covers the process of dialing in the backlash adjustment with a dial indicator.
